The founder of BGM, Elyes is not just a filmmaker; he is a global storyteller, advocating for the unique narratives that every individual and brand hold within. Elyes’ global journey is a testament to his belief in the universality of stories and their ability to ignite change and foster understanding. His experiences across diverse cultures and landscapes have shaped a philosophy that sees every narrative as a vital thread in the intricate tapestry of global dialogue. About Elyes Baccar

Elyes is a well acclaimed and an award-winning International Director and Screenwriter of feature films, documentaries, series and TV formats. He studied Directing at the French Film School (CLCF), attended the European Foundation of Motion Pictures’ (FEMIS) training program in Paris and the Cultural Manager Program at Goethe Institute in Berlin. 


He also founded ACTIF – a Cultural NGO in Tunisia- and organized the International Human Rights Film Festival, and was appointed as the first President of FACT, the UNESCO’s Forum of Tunisian Cultural Associations. He started his career as an assistant director to several Tunisian and international films including Star Wars (directed by George Lucas). 


He later directed feature films, short films, TV commercials and Theatre plays. In 2006 he directed Hia w’Houa (She & He), his first long feature film which participated in international film festivals. His movies “Rouge Parole” and “Tunis by Night” were critically acclaimed and won several international prizes.
